Description:
TAIWAN TECH DESIGN WEEK is organized by the Department of Design as an inter-school design carnival, with different kinds of events including workshops, performances, forums and talks. Doors can be regarded as a metaphor of the puzzles in the world. “Knock knock” is an expression about making voices and desiring for reaction. We try, we touch, we knock. And we await the response from the other side.
There are a wide variety of doors, so we define the shape of a door and the shape of knocking a door. The white polygon is where the door being knocked. Sound waves and colors come in to sight during the “knock knock”, making it a feature of this project.
Basic elements are used in the design, by combining dots into lines, lines into surfaces, and finally surfaces into a stereoscopic door.
