Stony Cheng

Since 1980, Stony Cheng has infused calligraphy elements into design to embed cultural meaning, actively promoting the value of traditional culture and establishing a mission to use Chinese cultural symbols as a design medium. Driven by a passion for design and a strong sense of purpose, she has long been dedicated to design education and cultural transmission in schools. At the same time, she has shown deep concern for the future of Taiwan’s traditional industries. Since 2002, she has participated in cultural and creative industry training and consulting, leading the transformation and revitalization of traditional crafts such as ceramics, glass, bamboo, lacquerware, embroidery, plant dyeing, handmade paper, and metalwork. Her work extends to developing cultural and creative products and lifestyle goods, providing holistic brand restructuring guidance, and introducing cultural and creative education programs.
