【Announcement】 Statement on the Award Status of “No Infringement” – 2025 Taiwan International Graphic Design Award

The organizing team has recently received a report from external sources indicating that the visual presentation of the Type A (Specific Theme) Distinction work, “No Infringement”, bears a high degree of similarity to a 2007 poster created by Against Abuse Inc. in Germany. A request was therefore made for further review.

To uphold the fairness and credibility of the competition, the organizer initiated a formal review process in accordance with the competition regulations and contacted the designer of the work, requesting submission of the creative concept, development process, and supporting materials to clarify the originality of the work. However, no relevant response or supporting information was received within the specified period.

Subsequently, based on the reported information and publicly available materials, the organizing team conducted a review and submitted the case to the jury for further evaluation. After deliberation, the jury concluded that the work demonstrates a high degree of similarity in its core visual composition and presentation, and that the level of creative transformation and differentiation is insufficient to meet the originality requirements of the competition.

In accordance with the jury’s decision, the award granted to “No Infringement” has been revoked, and the corresponding award certificate has been invalidated.

The competition remains committed to upholding originality in design and maintaining the integrity of its evaluation system. Moving forward, the organizer will continue to strengthen its review and verification mechanisms to ensure fairness and professionalism in the selection process.

This announcement is hereby made.
